When Cecil John Rhodes died in 1902, his last will and testament left the vast majority of his estate to trustees with instructions to distribute the proceeds of income from his estate on educational scholarships.
These are still active today and are known contemporarily as 'Rhodes Scholarships'. Each year, in excess of 20 students around the world receive a Rhodes Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford.
Amongst other conditions to being awarded a scholarship, Rhodes expressly included in his will that no student shall be 'qualified or disqualified for election to a scholarship on account of his race or religious opinions'.
I now look forward to hearing that Robert Mugabe has left similar instructions for the distribution of his estate.
