Whilst the future might not quite be visible from the top of Hardcastle Crags, the views nevertheless, are spectacular.

Just like the unexpected sun and heat of the mid-June Sunday, on this tiny island with 65 million people, Hardcastle Crags was surprisingly remote and rugged.

A fiver for a day's parking at the National Trust carpark seemed a bit steep (there are literally no other choices for parking), but the rest of the visit was absolutely worth it.
